Just getting his mind to settle enough to allow him to sleep was a very difficult task for Jaune these days. He never made it to the tower that night. He had been too injured to make any sort of valiant climb. All he could do was ask others to help him. While he tried not to blame himself, especially for the sake of Ren and Nora, there were always nagging thoughts. What he could have done or that he should have treasured the time he had with Pyrrha more than he did.
All of this made for a terrible fitful sleep. Jaune may have been better served sleeping beside Ren and Nora yet he seemed keen on sleeping on his own, he didn't want to impose on them. What he assumed would happen is that they would all be tired.
Eventually he did manage to drift off to sleep. He hoped it would just be nothing rather than replaying that night in his head like had so often been the case or worse yet those dreams in which he ran towards an image of Pyrrha that never grew closer.
He got his wish in that regard. At first he was unable to make sense of it. Everything seemed like a chaotic swirl of colors that made his head hurt. After a few moments it settled. He couldn't make out a scene, but he did make out a familiar red-headed figure.
"Pyrrha?" He called out and ran towards her. If nothing halted his movements he would be standing right in front of her, tears pricking his eyes as he looked upon the face of his partner. "Is it really you?"
